CAROL CHANEY wins major international award!

       Traditional / Cover      Amazing Voice/Female 2020

Following her 2020 Traditional Country Music Awards of Australia success in the National Top Ten Album for “A Million Stars”, Independent Blackbutt QLD country singer, Carol Chaney, has just won the first (Eurovision style) Fair Play Country Music “Red Carpet Award Show In Holland” Award for Independent Country Music, with her track “She’s Got You”, produced by LBS studios in Tamworth.

In the event last night, November 7th, Carol won “Traditional/Cover Amazing Voice/Female 2020” in front of a range of international judges. There were 1,258 contestants from 40 countries, including the USA, Canada, Australia, NZ, South Africa, UK, IRE, all over EUR, etc.

Due to Covid, the Show could not go ahead as planned and had to move to an On Line Show which can be viewed on Utube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsIZMcbR0EI.

The Event was to be held at the very beautiful venue, Hotel de Heerlickheijd in Ermelo, The Netherlands.

She never dreamt that she would receive this award against such amazing nominees.  She is now eagerly awaiting her Award and the Magazine to arrive in the mail.  Carol is praying she can attend the 2021 Award Show and meet all the 2020 nominees in person (including William Shatner, Star Track star – who was also a nominee with his band).  She has met so many DJ’s, in Australia and Internationally, and Fellow Artists, with the help of Facebook, during this lockdown time. Special mention must go to Mervyn Newell from Belfast, who volounteers his time tirelessly for Independent Artists.  It was Mervyn who advised Carol to contact Fair Play Country Music (Red Carpet Awards Show I Holland) and submit her songs.  They were accepted and she was welcomed as a Nominee in the Original Song and then the Cover Song Section.
